I would like to ask for your support in my problem.
I am not really into EE/ECE because I am an ME.
But i have many motor controller here using the DSP TMS320F240PQ. I havmany defective motor controller and have found out that the only defective component is this TMS320F240PQ. This was isolated by swapping the DSP from the working to the defective one.
However, when I bought a brand new DSP TMS320F240PQ, it can not be recognized by my program. I believe there is a code inside the DSP during its manufacturing.
I would like to ask if you could help me understand this, why is this so, and how can I copy those working DSP to the brand new DSP I just bought. Thanks a lot.

firstly sorry for the delay in replying.
your problem is a bit unclear - this is what i got of it: you have a motor controller (MC) linked to a DSP. but your DSP is defective. when you connect a brand new DSP to the MC, the MC does not recognize it.
1. where does the "program" come in? what does it do?
2. did you buy the MC-DSP as a combination or did you do the connection? If it came as a combination, why don't you contact the seller?
3. in such hardware problems, I would suggest you get behind the dealer to help you solve the problem. Documentation is very less in case of many products (Texas Instr. usually has good documentation though) and engineers in the company may be able to help you.
Best of luck with your work. Would love to hear how you solved it (Me thinks that if you really get behind the dealer and find out some details, you will be able to solve the problem).
